TRADITIONAL INGLENOOK SPIT ROAST
Every Wednesday Evening -
Pre-booking tables (01797 – 344215) for the spitroast is absolutely vital.
We take a maximum of 30 people for the spit roast each Wednesday
to ensure we have sufficient meat for everyone.
The spit roast is served from 7.30pm to 9.00pm – Wednesday’s only.

The Royal Oak prides itself on producing regularly changing home cooked dishes, from seasonally structured menu’s, using where possible, local produce, all created to order by our head chef – Dale Skinner.
The Royal Oak is casual yet classy, with a beamed restaurant with large inglenook that enjoys a wonderful atmosphere, whatever the occasion.
From bar snacks, to starters, main courses & puddings, all our food is produced on site by our kitchen team. Fish from local Rye boats, through to local lamb and game our traditional home cooked fare is aimed at providing a variety of simple, uncomplicated yet delightful dishes, for all budgets.
We offer everything from 3 course lunch or dinners for those with time on their hands, through to bar snacks for those visitors where time is of the essence. Our Sunday Roasts are a family affair, not to be missed and booking is definitely a must!
Delicious starters sit alongside perfect roast potatoes, an array of fresh, seasonal vegetables make Sunday lunch a great social event to be shared. We always offer traditional roast sirloin of English beef (cooked rare) plus another roast, rotating each week from loin of pork, to leg of Romney lamb. Our homemade starters and puddings provide a sumptuous Sunday feast for all the family and friends!
