How to find us …

The Royal Oak, Brookland is located in the heart of Romney Marsh, occupying a position in the centre of the village just off the A259, next to the ancient church of St. Augustine’s. The Royal Oak offers locals, tourists, and visitors a base from where to visit the historic towns of Rye and Tenterden, plus is within easy striking distance of the Kent and Sussex beaches, such as the very popular Camber Sands, one of the only Blue Ribbon awarded beaches on the south coast, only 10 minutes away from The Royal Oak.
The Royal Oak is within easy reach of Ashford (10 minutes) and from further afield is only 12 minutes from the M20 motorway (J10) by following signs from Junction 10 along the B2070 towards Hastings, where it can found just off the A259 Brenzett to Rye road.
With the introduction of the new fast speed rail service, Ashford International is only 36 minutes on the train from London St. Pancras, with a two train service most hours. Whoever would have thought the day would come when Romney Marsh fell within one hours striking distance of central London!
The south coast runs a few miles to the east and south of Brookland with towns, both ancient and modern, within easy reach by road, such as Rye (6 miles), Tenterden (11 miles), Ashford (12 miles), Hastings (18 miles), Folkestone (20 miles), Lydd (7 miles), Dungeness (11 miles), Littlestone (6 miles), and Camber Sands (8 miles).
