Our aim is to provide information on local visitor attractions, along with various entertainment options when visiting Romney Marsh and its surrounding towns. There is so much to do and see within easy striking distance of The Royal Oak, from wonderful historic castles and towns to explore, along with having something for everyone of all ages and interests by way of bird watching, walking, cycling, water sports, fishing, golf, eating, gardens, to those for whom a gentle relaxing time is the purpose of their visit to this peaceful location.

Rye - Medieval gem of the Cinque Ports. Perched on a hill, the medieval town of Rye is the sort of place you thought existed only in your imagination. Almost suspended in time, Rye’s atmosphere and enchanting cobbled streets draw visitors from around the world with their warm welcome.
Camber Sands –
2 ½ miles long and ½ mile wide at low tide, this Blue Ribbon awarded stretch of coastline is one of the most dramatic white sandy beaches on the South Coast.
This enormous expanse of sand is either the perfect bucket and spade destination or the kite surfers paradise. When the tide is out the beach seemingly goes on for miles, perfect for walking the dog, flying a kite or just going for a stroll. Even on an autumnal day the dunes are a great spot for an impromptu picnic and the perfect adventure play ground for kids large and small.

The Kitesurf Centre- An established kite surfing company located at Broomhill Car Park, Camber Sands, East Sussex.
Between the months of April to November they run kite surfing, kite land-boarding and power kite lessons at both Camber Sands and Greatstone beaches. Courses run for either a long weekend or full week.
