Romney Suite B & B Double

There is no reduction for single occupancy off the standard room prices.

Only children aged 16 years or over are permitted to stay at in the B & B rooms. Sorry, but no babies or children under 16 years old can stay at The Royal Oak.

Guests are requested to please vacate rooms by 11.00 a.m.

Breakfast is included in the room price and is served in the restaurant at a pre-agreed time between 8.00am & 9.00am.

Room Cancellation – Our policy is that cancellations made less than 3 days prior to arrival will be charged at the full rate should the accommodation remain unsold.

Our rooms are beautifully finished, matching a quality that many hotels fail to achieve. So whatever your needs, whether it be celebrating an anniversary, a long weekend, or you just want to get away from it, The Royal Oak with its accommodation and in-house restaurant is an ideal destination.

Please note both the Bar and the Restaurant are CLOSED to both staying guests and the general public every Sunday evening & Monday evening. Guests when booking B & B rooms MUST also please remember to book a table in the restaurant should they be planning to dine at The Royal Oak on any one or more evenings during their stay. Tables are NOT automatically reserved for residents if not pre-booked.

Our house policy is that that children under 12 are not permitted to eat in the restaurant in the evenings.

Food is available both lunchtimes and evenings (except Sunday evening & Monday evening). B & B guests are recommended to double check our opening times and serving times on the other pages of our website. The only variance to our normal food offering is on Wednesday evenings every week, when our very popular Spit Roast menu is on offer. Our spit roast evenings are normally a sell out so pre-booking a table when making your room reservation is essential and we do not offer our full menu on Wednesday evenings. Please see our sample menu pages for an example of our Spit Roast Menu.

During our normal opening times (Lunchtime: Midday – 3.00pm / Evening: 6.00pm – 11.00pm) guests arriving to check-in can gain access via the front door of the inn, which remain open during these times. We regret that as a country inn we do not have the need for the services of a concierge, nor a receptionist and due to other commitments we are unable to wait in for guests to arrive. Guests are therefore requested to arrive to check-in during the aforementioned opening times of the inn. The time to avoid checking-in is between 3.00pm & 6.00pm, when there will be no one available to let you in!
